CBD for Sleep Aid – Get the Sleep You Deserve

Regardless if you are 10 years old or 100 years old at some point you, like the other 68% of Americans, have had at least one night a week that you struggle with getting adequate sleep. The struggle is real and I myself was once a part of that statistic. That’s why I use CBD for sleep aid.

I am not here to lash out at you about your sleep habits but to present an easy way to help you with some underlying issues that cause you to miss out on your beauty rest.

According to the national sleep foundation American adults should get between 7-9 hours of sleep per night while the number is slightly higher for those under the age of 18. I am going to let you in on a little secret to getting the best sleep you have ever had so you can maximize your health with CBD.

Tossing and Turning at Night?

As I said before, you are not alone. There are millions of people just like you that work hard and only wish to lay down at night and allow their bodies to recover in preparation for another day full of challenges. The evidence is heavy in favor of that statement when you find out that Americans spent approximately 41 Billion on sleep aids and remedies in 2015 alone. The saddest part of that is that most of those people never found what they were looking for as the medicines either didn’t work or they had more side effects that the lack of sleep caused.

Why do so many people deal with sleep issues ? Well that is a multifaceted question with so many reasons behind it such as the fact that we work on average 44 hours per week. There are millions of American’s that actually work 60 or more hours per week. The long work weeks with the day to day tasks at home with kids and other choirs and errands it’s no wonder people can’t sleep at night, their isn’t enough time left. So that is why I want to help you to get as much sleep as possible when you finally get the chance to lay down at night.

Why Sleep is so Important

Not getting adequate sleep can have both short term and long term consequences on a persons health. Obviously in the short term you deal with sluggishness, performance issues, headaches, drowsiness and much more, but what about over time ?

Sleep deprivation can lead to depression, heart disease, obesity, diabetes and many more major health issues. Getting enough sleep is important because the body does the majority of it’s healing at night. Simply getting the recommended amount of sleep can lower your risk of heart disease, increase your social and emotional intelligence and prevent depression.

Getting the recommended amount of rest can also help with cognition, concentration and productivity as well as helping children with academic performance and behavior. Sleep is one of the most important aspects of health and that is why I recommend CBD for sleep aid.

How CBD Has Helped Me Sleep Better

After many years of sleep struggles, night sweats and lack of energy to perform at my peak level for my sales job I started to do some digging. Many people like myself get to the end of the day and although we have worked hard and accomplished quite a bit it can be difficult to wind down and make it to the bed, let alone fall asleep. This can lead to many roads of destruction such as trying to use sleep pills that may have side effects such as drowsiness, as well as lead to dependency that can make it even harder to sleep without. I am not an advocate of pharmaceuticals, so I decided to try CBD.

CBD is an amazing chemical compound derived from the Cannabis plant which can also be referred to as Hemp or Marijuana. Not to be confused with THC (the compound that gets you “high”), CBD works with your endocannabinoid system to heal the body in many ways. Since I started using CBD nearly 3 years ago I have had little to no issues with not only going to sleep at night but staying asleep all night. If and when I do wake up at night I will typically just take a few drops of my Tincture and fall right back to sleep.

How CBD Will Help You Sleep Too

For me my main issue with getting sleep was the actual process of winding down after a long day to get in bed at a good time and falling asleep immediately. For others, it could be something else that is keeping you awake and that is why CBD is so amazing. CBD can help with sleep in so many ways. You may have chronic pain that doesn’t go away and guess what CBD is a major pain reliever as well as anti-inflammatory.

The CBD tinctures(refer to my blog on Tinctures here) are in my opinion the best way to get the most out of your CBD and to create a routine to be sure you consistently take it, but their are other forms such as topicals. Topicals are creams, lotions and other forms of CBD skin products that can be used for direct pain relief as well as beauty. If you have a major ailment try taking some CBD orally as well as massaging some directly on the area that is in pain and the relief is almost instant. If you have pain, anxiety, insomnia or you just can’t seem to get in bed and get that 7-9 hours then CBD will help !

Get Better Sleep Now !

So from tossing and turning at night like millions of other Americans to getting the best sleep ever while improving my cognition, focus and productivity, CBD has changed my life forever. If you want to set aside the medications that haven’t been working and get that well-deserved regenerative sleep you have been looking for then I suggest at least giving CBD a chance.

Don’t just take it from me I would recommend doing some research of your own but according to projectCBD participants in a study took around 60 minutes to fall asleep without CBD while waking up more than 4 times that same night. These same participants fell asleep in only 20 min when taking CBD and only woke up around 1.5 times per night. So just from taking CBD one time they cut their fall asleep time by 1/3 and woke up less than half the amount. Change your life today, get the sleep you desire and need using CBD for sleep aid, not pills !
